Reviewed by a retired engineer from Leo Cuichin I received this model MM30 Lentek, Bite Shield called yesterday afternoon and about 4:30 pm I have tested this thing in my back yard where a hiding place for some Asian tiger mosquitoes in Houston, Texas. Those pesky mosquitoes are known to bite during the day. Within 5 minutes during the test in a light breeze of around 4-5 MPH adults came with three other children, despite the Lentek race with me. I slapped adults and two smaller ones in my palm when they started feeding on my left arm, but the other boy ran away. This morning at 8:15, I tried it again in the still air and I was surprised that one or two mosquitoes will not stop my test arm. I tried again this afternoon before sunset with the calm air, and has bitten all of Lentek has been run on my belt. I came inside my house to scratch my left elbow. By Mona Lisa Ok, I only got one of those things, and I need that last night I stood on our seasonal creek watching the flies lay eggs on the water and the mosquitoes did not notice me a little to give. I have a large Lentek trap that helped a lot with people, but they really made me mad. Now I do not use a cartridge, so I do not know what is wrong, but online advertising, and millions are copied elsewhere, says each cartridge is sufficient "at least 120 hours." Contrast, the product package that says the last "up to 12 hours". Big difference! Why My Lai C, 7 years. old son is allergic to mosquito bites, I'm more concerned about West Nile virus. Unfortunately, mosquitoes love him, and he always get some really nasty bites when he is sleeping. I bought this small device and now have peace of mind! I turn it in his room for about half an hour before bedtime, leaving the door open, then shut it down and close the door. Any mosquitoes lurking in his room were expelled by the scent of geranium. I do the same in my own room, and I am very pleased with the results. The scent of geranium is very strong but not unpleasant. I do not find it necessary to leave it on all night, so it's not a problem. I also like that you can attach it to your belt and turn it on when you're out.
