The Bug Patch - 24 Patches

Our Original Bug Patch is a transdermal patch that protects you and your family from all flying, biting, non-invasive insects. A proven Australian formula used for over 50 years is now available in the United States in a convenient "Bug Patch" that allows the uniform absorption of the natural supplement, B¹ (thiamin) that helps prevent insect bites. Thiamin, like other B vitamins, helps many bodily functions. Excess thiamin is eliminated not only in the urine but is excereted in the sweat as well. Thus, the Bug Patch is a natural based formula that reduces or prevents most insect bites.

Simple and effective By Raven Kaldera I used Bug Off patches for most of last summer, and I'm definitely ordering more this summer. I live in a swampy area in New England, and we can get pretty bad mosquitoes and black flies here. When wearing it, I get very few (if any) bug bites when the bugs are driving other people crazy. My roommate is one of those people that mosquitoes just LOVE and she has found the patches about 80% effective. She uses them with a citronella spray (which isn't very effective for her by itself) and gets very few bites. It seems like there are a few people who these just don't work for, but they are so convenient that it is worth a try. They are easy to apply and you don't have to worry about covering every inch of you with spray. You don't have to worry about kids or pets licking it off their skin, or it washing off when swimming. The adhesive is just the right strength - they don't fall off but they don't hurt when you remove them. They do tend to leave a grubby adhesive outline that is hard to scrub off. For more reviews of the effectiveness of Thiamin-based bug patches, check out the "Don't Bite Me" patch: http://www.amazon.com/Dont-Bite-Me-Patch-box/dp/B000RTJCL2/ I haven't tried that brand, and I think there is a difference between them because I don't find that the Bug Off patch makes me smell like vitamins. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Original Bug Patch...works very well, but not perfect By D. Singer Have used this product in the summer for the last 4 years and for the most part it works very well. The key is to remember to put them on about 1.5 to 2 hours before you will be out in the elements and then it will last for about 1.5 days. Not 100% effective, but much better than not using them. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Not a bite By Marty Chavers Went fishing with mates getting stung by horseflies and mosquitos....I wasn't touched. Seemed to give some energy too. See all 4 customer reviews...
