The best feedback from customers 247 of 249 people found the following review helpful. Fantastic and recorded as effective (6 hours) by the Centers for Disease Control of a professor of biology as a biochemist, I go to my repulsive random. I insist on reading some of the studies reviewed by scientific peers before moving away from insect repellent containing DEET. Some documents on oil of lemon eucalyptus, also known as OLE or PMD (the synthetic version), I noticed that made me read more. I was looking for information via the Center for Disease Control (http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/westnile/RepellentUpdates.htm) and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Both sites show that OLE is actually proven effective, but not equivalent (per hour) to DEET> 30%. I thought that the EPA also evaluates the data safe and effective mosquito repellent per hour for branded products, including 30 / 40% oil of lemon eucalyptus, which can be seen in http://www.epa.g gov / pesticides / health / mosquitoes / ticks mosquito producthtml. Armed with this information, I decided to OLE on a trip to an island (with marsh), Belize. * * We liked this product. Even if 30% DEET was more powerful as a repellent when we walked beside the marsh, the product was very Repel Lemon Eucalyptus effective and much more fun when we were in mosquitoes usually more (and sand fleas) of the territory back to Our base camp. We preferred to use at bedtime in our cabins, because they were sleeping in a narrow, air-conditioned room. Lemon Eucalyptus is also a product easier to use on face, neck and scalp (avoid the eyes) of DEET. Before the end of our trip, we ended the lemon eucalyptus oil and wished we had brought more rejects. I'll take * number of bottles of lemon eucalyptus oil 30/40% DEET repel and even some of my trip to Madagascar next month. If you decide to buy OLE, so make sure you are buying oil or citronella essential oils of lemon eucalyptus, which are mixtures of these oils as they come directly from the plant and the proportion of OLE (PMD) may not be sufficient to be effective I highly recommend the product repel. 67 of 69 people found this review helpful. Yes, you can be free and DEET Free Sea Astra bite allergic to DEET. I was the one on the back of the camping / hiking / fishing trips the silent power of millions of mosquitoes and other biting insects in squalor for years, until now. I tried everything on the market and was always disappointed because all the products I've tried both DEET Free triggered my allergy or simply did not work. This year, my doctor recommended I try attackers DEET-free, and I'm sold. The difference is like day and night. We took a trip to photograph butterflies and dragonflies in the marshes of the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, and came away bite free. No work on chiggers, but I assume I'm not sure that it lasts as long as products containing DEET, my husband began to use exclusively as well, and he has to apply more frequently than the products or from outside the court he used to wear. But I'm talking about a fall of six hours of the effectiveness of four, is not a problem if you have room in your backpack to carry things. Moreover, it smells like eucalyptus, some people do not like, and will smell for hours, even after losing their effectiveness, or even take a bath. 27 of 27 people found this review helpful. Effective short-term M. Ross My family is in a one week camp in Lassen National Park in the spring. This is our experience in a nutshell: * Pros pleasant aroma - We think that the odor is pleasant, if a little strong at first. What smells like eucalyptus and lemon, and chemicals, which is good. Although strong at first, quickly evaporates to a softer background flavor * Effective - The mosquitoes, against which we used this product was extremely aggressive and greedy, piercing
