The scent is pleasant and has worked as well or better. I really prefer the other lights Amazon products that repel insects better than anything I tried. 0 of 1 people found this review helpful. Lady Luxe pleasant scent, I bought these candles after trying to find the old citronella candle shop. Our platform does not lend itself to use rockets to deter insects, so I wanted candles, but no one seems to have the candles that I remember. These candles are attractive and have a fresh scent, not nearly as bad as the citronella candle of my youth. But I can not really say if it discourages pests on the bridge, but not too much bother me when I sit in the evening.
