Citric acid destroys the wax coating of the insect's respiratory system. When applied directly, the insect suffocates. Sharpshooter is biodegradable. Persons with known citrus allergies may be affected. Do not spray on red mature fruits. Do not use in conjunction with other sprays. Do not spray on open blooms or wilted plants. Use on fruits, vegetables, house plants, flowers, trees and shrubs. Never spray in full sun or when temperatures are above 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Effective on most insects including aphids, beetles, caterpillars, cutworms, earwigs, flies, gnats, lacebugs, leafhoppers, loopers, mites, moths, snails/slugs, mosquitoes, whiteflies, etc.

It says on the bottle that it will work for that, and it was recommended for that purpose on another website. So we ordered it, paid for shipping and the whole deal, in hopes of saving our green beans without the use of something toxic. We applied it multiple times, with no effect.
