I couldn't believe the shipping charges for it, so I just bought 1 bag. I had bugs coming out the wazoo in my back yard. I love hanging out back there and I've tried everything (foggers, sprays, etc.) to get rid of them (although you know you can't get rid of ALL of them) or at least try to tone down the amount of bugs. You'd be out back for no more than 5 minutes and get eaten up enough to go back inside. Once I spread these granules through my yard, over my porch, and through my flower beds, I noticed a big change! It says on the bag to apply regularly to keep it working, so I searched on Google and found that Lowe's had it for $11.44 a bag! So, if you have a Lowe's nearby, check it out. You can look online and do the in store pick-up (for free). I don't recommend having Lowe's deliver it because the shipping cost was over $60!!! But now that I know that my local Lowe's has this stuff, I'll be saving money on those insane shipping charges they got on here! Give this stuff a try! You might surprise yourself! Nearly every type of fly that I can imagine lives in our backyard, making it most unpleasant to be outside, especially because of biting flies. We also have a dog that is our baby, so non-toxic solutions are a must. We bought this bag and used the entire amount on our 15 m x 10 m grass area because we were incredibly desperate. It seemed to knock down the fly population for about a week, but they came back (maybe a little less?). It is hard to tell because our infestation is SO incredibly bad. We are also using this in conjunction with various other non-toxic methods, so I am not sure exactly how useful it was. I do like the fact it was non-toxic and pet/people safe and honestly, sometimes "non-toxic" or "organic" stuff just doesn't work like the dangerous highly toxic methods, so can't really fault them that. The moths fled from the bushes I was watering, so that's a positive sign. I am optimistic, and I will revise this review if it does not work. My problem is that the nozzle became dysfunctional after 20 minutes using it. I did not have to reapply the spray after swimming either, which surprised me. My wife sprayed both her legs and arms and suffered many bites until she finally was able to get a bottle of OFF to use. She tried reapplying the spray again after swimming with the same results. At that point she decided to stick with the OFF. I guess it all comes down to body chemistry. This I Must spray product smells fine, a little garlicky, but not too smelly, and I spray it all around the patio wood and even some of the dirt between the bushes where the strays like to lay in wait for birds, and it seems to last for days. Worked well By Earthworm We purchased this for a hike that we were doing this year, and previously at this same area we had a serious problem with Ticks. This year we didn't even see any ticks so I can't say if this product would have helped in that area. But, we did see a lot of mosquitoes, and of the 5 of us that went there was a total of 1 bite, for both days we were in the woods. The spray doesn't seem to repel the mosquitoes, since we saw a lot of them, and had them buzzing around us. I am not sure of its killing power since I didn't see any dead mosquitoes on my clothes. But I didn't see any live mosquitoes on my clothes either. It was kind of a hassle treating the clothes prior to the trip, so I would only recommend this product if you knew you were going to a bug infested location for a few days. Otherwise use a more convenient bug spray. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. other than the nozzle hole By looloo I ordered this product to help stop chiggers.. and followed instructions to spray on clothing especially around cuffs, etc.. the warnings also said to keep off bare skin, eyes, mouth, children etc.. The can sprayed out the nozzle but about 1/3 of the liquid somehow puddled in the top of the can when held up right and out right dripped/ran out if held horizontal.... in this malfunction process rinsed whoever was spraying the poison. This spray can had a very cheap nozzle and wasted lots of repellent ( dripping from around the nozzle top).. Very poor quality control @ best.. And of course this 9 oz can costing more than $1 per oz would not cover 4 sets of outfits.. barely covered two pants.. (unless you love chigger bites) I would rate it a 0 if I could. I was fooled by the advertising of this product. After carefully applying exactly according to directions, I confidently headed off into the woods to weedeat/clear some local mountainbike trails. I was covered from head to toe...boots, pants tied shut at ankles, long sleeves, gloves. Soaked everything the day before with this product. 2 days later (that's when chigger infestations show themselves) my neck looks like I'm wearing a red turtleneck! It's awful. The chigs crawled up the treated shoes, up the treated pants, up the treated shirt until they found my open neck. Today I'm in so much discomfort I'm just plain mad. I'm going back to the age-old "sulfer-powder" dusting that folks have used for years. This Yard & Garden Spray is Garlic Based with Citrus, Citronella and Soap to attach to leaves & grass. It is so easy to use and is as simple as spraying your yard. Used with a hose end sprayer, spray yard and/or garden approximately once a month in warm climates to run off all insects. No need to spray during winter or in cooler climates from November through March (Northern States). There is no odor left in the yard or garden. It appears that only the insects can tell the difference. One whiff of the yard and garden spray and the insects leave in record number. You only use one part formula to eight parts water. With rain or humid temperatures comes insects. Soft gentle rains will not keep the formula from working, but hard downpours will wash away its effectiveness and you must re-spray when the rains are finished.

Great Party - no flies attended By Virginia horsewoman A colleague and I planned a large retirement party for ourselves, inviting family, friends, and many teachers and administrators from our school. Because it was to be outside under tents, we were worried about insects - especially flies invading and taking over the food.
